Creating Your First Event

Creating Your First Event

Creating an event is quick and easy. Once you've completed your account details, organiser profile and payout details, you can create your first event and begin setting up your ticketing.

Step 1: Access Event Management

  1. Log in to your account.

  2. Navigate to "Manage Events" and select “Create Event”. This is where you will create your first event.

Step 2: Enter Event Details

  1. Complete the event information, including:

  • Event name and category

  • Event type

  • Event image

  • Organiser profile

  • Venue and location

  • Timezone, event dates and times, and when ticket sales end

  • Event description

  • Refund policy (required before your event can go live)

  • Terms and Conditions (optional)

  1. The form is split into sections in the bar across the top (Event, Venue & organiser, Dates and so on). Fields marked with an asterisk (*) are required, and a green dot shows once a section's required fields are filled. Select "Show setup guide" to be walked through each one.

Step 3: Save Your Event

  1. Click "Save" in the top right-hand corner once all details are entered to store your event information. Double-check your details before saving.

  2. After saving, you stay on your event page. Select "Add tickets" in the pop-up to set up your tickets next.

Step 4: Continue Setting Up Your Event
  1. After creating your event, you can continue configuring it by:

  • Creating ticket categories and ticket types ("Tickets")

  • Adding attendee questions ("Attendee Questions")

  • Configuring ticket availability

  • Adjusting additional event settings

  1. Press "Save" after everything you add.

Step 5: Preview and Publish

  1. Review your event by double-checking all event details, including ticket options and session settings, before publishing.

  2. Click "Publish" once you're happy with the setup. The Publish button stays greyed out until your event has at least one ticket type.

  3. Your first event is reviewed by our team before it goes on sale. We'll email you once it's approved. You can then choose "Publish to the public", "Private" (only people with the link can buy) or "Invitation Only".

Step 6: Monitor and Manage Your Event
  1. Track sales in real time once your event is live: the top of your event's page shows tickets sold, and "Event Insight" shows sales by session and ticket category.

  2. Update the event details by accessing the event page and making any necessary changes, such as the time, venue, or ticket availability.

Tips

  • Complete your organiser profile before creating your first event.
  • Gather your event information before you begin to make setup faster.
  • You can update your event details at any time before or after publishing.
  • Preview your event before making it live to ensure everything appears correctly.
