How do product variants work?

You can create variants such as size or colour under a single product: add a Variant Group (for example Size), then a variant for each option. Each variant needs its own image, and can have its own SKU, stock count and price adjustment (Price +/- on the base price). Colours can be shown as swatches. Stock is tracked per variant, so when one size sells out, the other sizes keep selling.
