What are Combo Discounts and how do I set them up?

Combo Discounts

Combo Discounts allow you to offer customers savings when they purchase multiple eligible tickets together in the same order. You can create discounts that apply when customers purchase specific combinations of ticket types, sessions or categories.

To set up a combo discount:

1. Go to Manage events and select Combo Discounts (it is also on Account settings, and in any event's Event options menu under Discounts).

2. Select Add Combo Discount.

3. Enter a Name. Buyers see it on their order summary and receipt.

4. Under Apply to events named, enter part of the event name the discount should cover, for example caves. Leave it blank to apply it to all of your events. A combo discount belongs to your account, not to one event, so one rule covers every matching date you put on sale.

5. Choose How the tickets pair up:

• Same ticket type: an Adult ticket only pairs with another Adult ticket, for one person doing several tours.

• Any ticket type: different kinds of ticket booked together, for example an activity sold as its own ticket booked alongside a tour.

6. Leave Tickets must be for the same day ticked unless the tickets can be used on different days, and make sure Active is ticked.

7. Under 1. Which tickets combine, add a row for each thing a buyer can book and pick its sessions or ticket categories.

8. Under 2. How much comes off, choose which ticket gets the discount, how many different tickets must be booked, and the amount, either a fixed amount or a percentage. A fixed amount comes off once per person for the combo. A percentage comes off every ticket in the combo.

9. Save.

The discount is applied automatically at checkout when an order includes the required combination. The buyer does not enter a code. If the buyer enters a promo code, combo discounts are not applied to that order.
