What are Capacity Pools and how do I set them up?

Capacity Pools allow you to manage and monitor the total number of people allocated to a room or space across multiple sessions or ticket types. They help you keep track of how full each room is and manage capacity across your event.

Unlike a standard session capacity limit, which applies to an individual session, a Capacity Pool counts everyone who will occupy the room, including customers holding an entitlement pass that covers more than one session.

To set up a Capacity Pool:

  1. Open your event's Event options menu and select Tickets.

  2. Find the Capacity pools panel.

  3. If your event runs over more than one day and people can attend more than one session, select Limit people per day. It works out which sessions share a room each day, creates a pool for each, and asks you for one number. Otherwise select Add pool to create a pool by hand.

  4. On the Rooms and limits tab, name each pool and set its limit.

  5. On the What fills each room tab, tick the ticket types that take a place in each pool.

Once a pool is full, tickets that draw on it stop selling, even if their own session still has places. The panel shows how full each room is.
